Internships

The law establishing the Specialisation Schools (Legislative Decree No. 398 of 17 November 1997, Art. 16) was intended to provide for the joint training of magistrates and lawyers, through learning that is not only theoretical, but also supplemented by practical experience. Ministerial Decree No. 537 of 21 December 1999 of the Ministry of Universities and Scientific and Technological Research (Regulation laying down rules for the establishment and organisation of specialisation schools for the legal professions) provides for a compulsory internship period for students enrolled in the specialisation school. The internship can be carried out in judicial offices or in law firms or notaries affiliated with the University.
The judicial offices that have an agreement with Università Cattolica include: the Ordinary Court of Milan; Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Milan; Court of Appeal of Milan; Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Appeal of Milan; Surveillance Court of Milan; Court of Busto Arsizio; Court of Monza; Court of Pavia; Court of Piacenza; Court of Varese; Juvenile Court of Milan; Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Milan; Court of Auditors – Jurisdictional Section for Lombardy; Provincial Tax Commission of Milan; Regional Administrative Court for Lombardy.

Internships at law firms can be carried out at ASLA member firms.
