University Initiative on Hope in the Jubilee Year

"To be tangible signs of hope." Responding to the invitation of the papal bull Spes non confundit, with which Pope Francis proclaimed the Jubilee of 2025, the cycle of initiatives, events and debates promoted between February and June by Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore to tell and explore the ways in which hope is nourished and deepened daily in the areas of competence of the 12 Faculties of its five campuses: Milan, Brescia, Piacenza, Cremona, Rome.

"In conjunction with the Holy Year, together with the deans and professors of all the campuses of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, we have decided to carry out a University Initiative on hope in the Jubilee Year to take up Pope Francis' appeal to give concrete signs of hope," says Rector Elena Beccalli. "This is a course aimed at students and society as a whole, divided into various activities - including conferences, seminars, thematic meetings - which will make up an organic calendar of events scheduled from February to June. The idea is to interpret the theme of 'hope' from the particular point of view of the disciplines of each of the 12 Faculties: from economics to law, from literature to mathematics, from medicine to psychology to political science, education and agricultural sciences."
