Protection and care of psychological well-being at Università Cattolica

Teaching and research

Over the years, the Faculty of Psychology, the Department of Psychology and the Graduate School of Psychology "Agostino Gemelli" (ASAG) have implemented degree programmes, research centers and services that promote the well-being of the person.

Graduate Programme Psychology for Well-being: Empowerment, Rehabilitation and Positive Technology
The programme trains professionals competent in enhancing individual and inter-individual resources to cultivate individual and group well-being through methodologies and tools for the assessment of levels of subjective well-being and for interventions aimed at maintaining and increasing well-being throughout the life cycle, also through specific intervention paths aimed at supporting fragile conditions.

International Graduate Degree in Consumer Behaviour: Psychology Applied to Food, Health and Environment
Active since 2003 at the Cremona Campus, the degree programme trains future health psychologists from a One Health perspective, able to read, understand and modify the behaviors and lifestyles of people, groups and communities, to interpret and act in a multidisciplinary way.

Research Unit in Digital Media, Psychology and Well-being
The research unit studies the relationship between digital media and well-being from a psychological perspective and through two trajectories of analysis and application. The first aims to identify the contribution that the natural use of digital media can make to the well-being of the individual. The second involves the design, development and evaluation of the effectiveness of innovative protocols that involve the use of apps, online platforms and virtual reality systems to promote individual and interpersonal empowerment.

Engageminds HUB – Consumer, Food & Health Engagement Research Centre
The Research Centre is active in conducting research, training and consultancy projects aimed at encouraging people's behavioural change toward healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. The One Health approach is based on the idea that the health of humans, animals, and ecosystems is intrinsically linked, and that disease and health management should be approached collaboratively and interactively.
