The degree programme is divided into the following profiles:

The curriculum in Mathematics aims to train people who, in addition to an excellent mathematical preparation, combine physical and computer skills and are able to understand and use mathematical descriptions and models of concrete situations of scientific and applicative interest, effectively using, in addition to Italian, the English language, in written and oral form. The curriculum, in addition to training teachers and lecturers, prepares professionals capable of solving problems and bringing innovation, to successfully enter the world of work. Contrary to what is commonly thought, to study mathematics you don't need to be a genius, you just need to have a lot of passion: the mathematician is an interested, curious person who, when faced with any problem, has the method and the mindset to find innovative solutions.

Curriculum Structure

The curriculum is divided into three years, within which adequate attention is paid to the learning of English and computer science. In the last year, the student can choose the exams (for a total of 18 ECTS), depending on the interests and attitudes developed in the previous two years.

The curriculum in Physics ensures training equivalent to a degree in Physics, and is, with its cutting-edge research laboratories, one of the flagships of Università Cattolica. The close relationship between teaching and research is one of the factors that contributes to making it one of the most qualified research centers in the field of the environment, nanostructures and superconducting materials. A solid network of contacts with European and American universities gives the best students the opportunity to undertake specialization courses abroad every year. A collaboration is also active between the Faculty and the Synchrotron Light Laboratory of Trieste, the most powerful particle accelerator installed in Italy.
Studying Physics at Università Cattolica means choosing a path full of challenges and opportunities, in a stimulating environment, equipped with all the tools and spaces that allow you to carry out your projects with profit and satisfaction. The high quality of the basic preparation, combined with the possibility of attending cutting-edge research laboratories as protagonists and interacting easily and constantly with the teaching staff, makes the preparation of our students at the level of the most important universities and research centers in the world.

Curriculum Structure

The curriculum is divided into three years, within which the study of the English language is included.
In the curriculum, traditional courses are flanked by laboratory disciplines, which contribute to developing, in addition to specific scientific skills, also the ability to work in a team.
Already on the occasion of the degree thesis it is possible to gain concrete research experience in the laboratories.

The curriculum in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence offers training comparable to a degree in Computer Science and aims to train professionals capable of combining solid skills in mathematics and physics with a broad, up-to-date and in-depth preparation in the field of computer science and artificial intelligence. The distinctive feature of this training course lies in the ability to provide the essential knowledge to follow the evolution of information technologies, with particular emphasis on the development of web applications, data analysis and computational thinking, strategic sectors in considerable expansion. Synergies and collaborations with the world of work guarantee a preparation that combines scientific and methodological rigor with the problems and experiences of those who work daily in the field of information technology and AI.

Curriculum Structure

The curriculum is divided into three years, within which, in addition to a solid preparation in computer science, adequate attention is paid to the learning of mathematics, physics and English. In the second and third year of the course, elective exams (for a total of 18 credits) are available, which allow students to deepen specific topics and enhance their aptitudes.
