The Master's Degree Programme in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics structures its teaching activities through lectures, exercises, open courses and other methods decided at the level of the course regulations.
The Master's degree course may be divided into curricula that will be specified in the course regulations.
The time reserved for personal study, as a rule, is equal to at least 50% of the total time commitment with the possibility of lower percentages for individual training activities with a high experimental or practical content.
To obtain the graduate degree, students must have acquired at least 360 university credits, including those relating to the final exam. After passing the final degree examination, the student obtains a master's degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics.
The competent Degree Programme Council annually determines:
- courses that can be supplemented by exercises, workshops, seminars, supplementary courses and other forms of teaching;
- the list of courses actually activated and their distribution among the various years of the course and the possible sub-units (semesters, quarters or other periodizations), indicating which courses are accompanied by supplementary teaching activities;
- the attribution of university credits to the various teaching and training activities;
- the criteria and procedures for the recognition, without prejudice to the minimum quota recognised pursuant to current regulatory provisions, of the greatest possible number of credits already acquired by the student in previous training courses.
The courses conclude with an evaluation test which must in any case be expressed by a mark out of thirty. This may also apply to other supplementary forms of teaching for which eligibility may also be provided.
