The courses of study, connected with the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy - Milan, are three-year (Baccalaureate in Religious Studies) and two-year specialist (Licentiate in Religious Studies) (3+2).
For the conclusion of the licentiate (an additional two years of specialization), accessible to those who have previously obtained the baccalaureate in Religious Studies, 120 ECTS must be accrued.
The study paths proposed by the Institute are regulated according to the criteria of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) in order to better achieve, also in the field of religious sciences, the desired "European open area of higher education" promoted by the so-called Bologna process.
Lessons and practical activities
The ISSR provides for compulsory attendance of lectures and practical activities (workshops, seminars, internships), because the quality of learning certainly depends on the quality and quantity of the student's study, but also on the possibility of being able to compare oneself directly with other students and with the teacher.
In order to be admitted to the exams, attendance of at least 2/3 of the lectures is required.
Practical activities, by their very nature, must be fully attended.
