What is an internship?
The internship allows you to expand the wealth of skills provided by the university education profile with professional knowledge that can be acquired exclusively in the workplace.
The internship also facilitates the student's professional choices after graduation.
In this regard, the active presence of numerous partner companies is functional to improve the matching phase between students and individual companies, allowing the latter to test candidates directly in the classroom as part of the numerous activities supporting traditional teaching.

How to activate the internship
For information on activating the internship, the student needs to fill out the "Internship Application" on BLACKBOARD in the Internship section of the respective degree programme.
At the same time, he/she will have to upload the related documents (curriculum vitae and certificate of exams taken with grades and dates).

There are 3 types of internships:
- curricular internship with credits, compulsory or optional
- optional curricular internship without credits
- extracurricular internships for graduates. This type can be activated through Università Cattolica within 12 months of graduation.

There are no particular constraints related to the interruption of the internship period. It is possible to interrupt it at any time, giving written justification as long as the minimum duration of the internship to obtain training credits is respected.
The participation allowance for the curricular internship is at the discretion of the host company.
The curricular internship activities with CFU, once all the obligations provided for by the internship regulations have been completed and fulfilled, i.e. collection by the internship tutor of the internship agenda, company evaluation questionnaire and attachment 8 (evaluation of the teacher on the internship report), must be recorded in the same way as the profit exams, by regularly registering for the exams on the established dates.
- Registration will not require physical presence, it is only mandatory to register for the exam within 4 days of the scheduled date;
- No convocation will be sent (teams or other);
- The assignment of the internship credits is displayed in the career.
