Faculty
The Master in Financial Engineering, aligned with its mission, features a faculty composed of renowned Italian and international scholars, as well as leading professionals from the financial industry. The program combines strong academic expertise with real-world experience, providing students with a solid theoretical foundation alongside practical insights into the impacts and applications of financial engineering.
Davide Radi is Full Professor of Mathematics for Economics and Finance at the Department of Mathematics for Economic, Financial and Actuarial Sciences. He has teaching experience at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in courses including: Mathematics I and II, Mathematical Analysis, Financial Mathematics, Mathematical Methods for Management, Informatics & Information Systems, Programming in Python, Stochastic Processes and Applications in Risk Management, Finance and Derivatives, Portfolio Management, Game Theory, and Methods and Models for Economic Decisions.
He has served as Principal Investigator for research and industrial projects funded by the Italian Ministry of University, international agencies, and industry, on topics covering quantitative finance, applied mathematics, and related areas. He has authored more than 50 scientific publications.
Maria Luisa Gota is Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Eurizon Capital SGR, the asset management company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, and Head of the Group’s Asset Management Division. In 2025 she was elected President of Assogestioni, the Italian association of asset management companies, becoming the first woman to hold this role since the organization’s founding.
She holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Turin and began her career in academia before moving into the financial and insurance sectors, where she has built extensive expertise in risk management, asset liability management, financial planning, and capital management.
During her career she has held senior leadership roles in major institutions, including Aviva Italia, Poste Vita, and Intesa Sanpaolo Vita, and served as CEO and General Manager of Fideuram Vita. In 2024 she was appointed CEO of Eurizon Capital, where she leads the strategic development and international expansion of one of Europe’s largest asset management platforms.
Recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in European Finance, Maria Luisa Gota is widely regarded as a leading voice in the European asset management industry.
