Application

Candidates holding a Master Degree should follow the indications provided below.

Applicants must obtain a Master degree after a minimum of 2 years of study (120 ECTS).
Applicants can apply if the Master degree will be obtained by the final session of the 2025/2026 academic year (March/April 2027).

Applicants are required to upload the following documents on the admission portal:

  • CV in English
  • Academic Transcript
  • A motivation letter in English (maximum 2 pages) outlining your reasons for applying to the Master in Financial Engineering for Risk and Portfolio Management, your goals if admitted, and the ways in which you plan to contribute to the program and the class.
  • Any other documentation to allow a complete assessment of the economic and financial situation of the candidate

Deadline for application

  • July 15th, 2026:  Early Bird Scholarship Deadline
  • September 15th, 2026:  Final Application Deadline

Selection

Applicants will be selected through the evaluation of their:

  • Resume (curriculum vitae)
  • Motivation letter
  • Interview. The interviews are scheduled to take place continuously, with the final round occurring on the first week of September.

Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore reserves the right to cancel the Master’s course should it not recruit a viable number of students.

Enrollment

Admitted students will be notified via email and in the admission portal.

The enrollment must be completed within 5 working days from the receipt of notice, uploading to the admission portal, the payment of first installment and the documents required in admission notice.

Students preparing for a Degree or who have a foreign University Degree are required to pre-enroll through the admission portal.

Once the University Degree or the Declaration of Value/Diploma supplement * will be evaluated as adequate, applicants can proceed with the matriculation.

* Students with a foreign university degree must request the Declaration of Value from the consular offices of the country where the title has been awarded. If the degree was awarded in a EU university, applicants can request the Diploma Supplement released by the university of origin. (More info at FAQ).

Tuition Fees

The tuition fee is € 7,900 (€ 5,900 in case of early bird registration by the 15th of July 2026) to be paid as follows:

  • € 3.000 upon admission
  • € 2.900 by January, 2027
  • € 2.000 by March, 2027 (not to be paid in case of early bird registration)

 

Refund policy

Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore guarantees a refund on deposit and first installment in the following situations:

  • The Italian Embassy/Consulate rejects your Visa application;
  • In case the Master program does not start for insufficient enrolments.
