Competition Call (ITA)

The seats available for admission to the graduate degree programme in Innovations in Biotechnology Applied to Regenerative Medicine for the academic year 2024/2025 are:

  • 25 seats for EU candidates (EU citizens residing anywhere and non-EU citizens residing in Italy);
  • 5 seats for NON-EU candidates (non-EU citizens residing abroad).

For EU and equivalent candidates, applications will be open starting from June 10, 2024.

Consult the competition call to find out the access criteria, contents and methods for administering the test. Participation in the admission test is also permitted to students who have not obtained the admission qualification, without prejudice to the obligation to obtain it by 31 December 2024.

Applicants in the NON-EU pool, reserved for non-EU citizens living abroad, should contact the International Admissions Office and comply with the respective admission procedures ( https://international.unicatt.it/ucscinternational-2-year-graduate-degrees-innovations-in-biotechnology-applied-to-regenerative-medicine).

The language certificate must be produced when enrolling for the degree programme but is not required for participation in the test.

Only candidates who have conducted their entire academic studies in English before accessing the graduate degree programme may be exempted from producing the language certificate. In this case, due certification must be provided at the time of enrolment.

The Entrance Exam consists of a written test (home-based) and an oral test-interview (dual-mode) and will be held in two sessions. It is only possible to participate once - either in the first or in the second session - depending on the date of application:

The written test (maximum 60 points) consists of 60 multiple-choice questions distributed as follows:

  • 10 logical and logical-mathematical reasoning questions;
  • 45 questions on scientific skills in the following subjects: Physiology (3), Biochemistry (4), Molecular Biology (8), Applied Biology (9), Pharmacology (3), Human Anatomy (3), Histology (3), General Pathology (3), Microbiology (3), General Chemistry (3), Organic Chemistry (3);
  •  5 questions of ethical-religious culture.

The oral test-interview (maximum 60 points) is aimed at ascertaining the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities useful for the training of a biotechnologist with expertise in innovations applied to the field of regenerative medicine through the evaluation of the type of previous study career, with specific reference to the exams taken and the type of final examination.

The oral test may be held in person (at Fondazione Poliambulanza Istituto Ospedaliero C.R.E.M. - BRESCIA) or online, at the candidate's express request (https://www.unicatt.it/richiesta-informazioni-lauree-magistrali), which must be received by the deadline indicated in the competition call.

Once the test participation fee has been paid, candidates can access the Simulator platform free of charge via their registration profile.
