Admissions and applications

The procedures for admission to the master's degree course in Innovations in Biotechnology applied to regenerative medicine for the next academic year 2023/2024 will be published in July 2023.

For admission to the master's degree course in Innovations in Biotechnology applied to regenerative medicine candidates must possess the following access requirements:

1. Degree

The candidate must possess one of the following degrees related to classes ex D.M. n. 270/2004 (or a degree related to the classes ex D.M. n. 509/1999 or a degree obtained abroad that has the degree equivalency according to current legislation):

  • L- 2 (Biotechnology)
  • L-13 (Biological Sciences)
  • L-27 (Chemical Sciences and Technologies)
  • L-29 (Pharmaceutical Science and Technology)
  • L-32 (Environmental and Natural Sciences)
  • LM-13 (Pharmacy and Industrial Pharmacy)
  • LM-41 (Medicine and Surgery)
  • LM-46 (Dentistry)
  • LM-21 (Biomedical Engineering).

Admission can be allowed to graduates coming from other courses than those mentioned above given that the graduates possess the following curricular requirements:

  • minimum 10 credits (UFC) in the following SSDs: MAT/05 (Mathematical Analysis), MAT/06 (Mathematical Probability and Statistics), MAT/09 (Operations Research), INF/01 (Informatics), FIS/01 (Experimental Physics), FIS/07 (Applied Physics - in cultural, environmental, biology and medicine), CHIM/02 (Physical Chemistry), CHIM/03 (General and Inorganic Chemistry), CHIM/06 (Organic Chemistry), CHIM/08 (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)
  • minimum 30 credits (UFC) in the following SSDs: BIO/09 (Physiology), BIO/10 (Biochemistry), BIO/11 (Molecular Biology), BIO/12 (Clinical Biochemistry and Clinical Molecular Biology), BIO/13 (Experimental Biology), BIO/14 (Pharmacology), BIO/15 (Pharmaceutical Biology), BIO/16 (Human Anatomy), BIO/17 (Histology), BIO/18 (Genetics), BIO/19 (General Microbiology), MED/03 (Medical Genetics), MED/04 (General Pathology), MED/07 (Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology).

Admission can be allowed to graduates who obtained a degree abroad and that have the degree equivalency according to current legislation, and admissions is also open to who possess a EQF level 7 degree obtained abroad that meets the minimum curricular requirements for access to the course.

2. English certification

Minimum level of B2 CEFR (upper intermediate level) is required. Language certification is not required for students who have completed an English degree program.
