The test takes place online, lasts 40 minutes and includes 30 questions on reading comprehension, logic, Italian language and general culture.

To be eligible, candidates must score at least 16 points out of 30. Unsuccessful candidates may repeat the admission test in subsequent sessions, if places are available.

We recommend that you review the instructions and run the demo before the trial.

These materials will help you prepare in the best possible way: content, previous tests with and without solutions.

If you are eligible, you can reserve your place by paying the first installment of the tuition fees (€1,470) through the Enrolment Portal. Reservations are processed in chronological order until all places are filled and may be made up until December 15, 2025.

In the case of internal program changes, transfers, second degrees, or resumption of studies, you must also pay the administrative fees and upload the signed application.

Your place will be reserved only after the documentation has been validated.

  • After graduating, complete your enrolment by the deadlines:
  • If you reserved your place by 12 August 2025, the deadline is 12 September 2025
  • if you reserve your place after 12 August: within 30 days of the reserve date

At this stage, you will be asked to provide your baptismal certificate. If you do not have one, you can submit substitute documentation by choosing from the following options:

  • If you have been baptized but cannot locate the original certificate, you may submit a self-certification.

If you have not been baptized, you can schedule an interview with the campus pastoral assistant. After the interview, you will receive a valid certificate as substitute documentation. If you have already scheduled the appointment but are still waiting for the interview, you may temporarily submit a self-certification attesting to this situation.

Verification of Initial Preparation (VPI)

The Verification of Initial Preparation (VPI) is a compulsory test, included in the Admission Test, which serves to assess your starting level and support you in the beginning of your university career.

Candidates who obtain at least 16/30 in the Admission Test pass the VPI.

Those who obtain a score of less than 16/30 receive an OFA (Additional Educational Obligation) in Knowledge of the Italian language and reading comprehension.
The OFA provides:

  • a compulsory course with required attendance,
  • a final skills test.

The course and the test must be completed and passed within the first year.
Any OFA assignment is communicated after enrolment on your personal iCatt page.

Find out more about VPI here

Income Statement

Finally, don't forget to enter your income data by the end of November 2025, using the "Income Statement" application, accessible from your personal iCatt page.

OTHER INFORMATION

Candidates with disabilities and/or SLD are entitled to compensatory tools and/or dispensatory measures.

You can find more information about our university's Inclusion Services here.

For candidates transferring from another university, changing programs within Università Cattolica, pursuing a second degree, or resuming their studies, and who are exempt from the admission test, the successful completion of one of the two exams listed in the admission guides will automatically be recognized as fulfillment of the initial academic preparation assessment. As a result, no additional educational obligations (OFA) will be assigned.

To register for the admission test to the programme, you must declare in the Enrolment Portal the average obtained in the penultimate year of secondary school.
If you are about to obtain or have obtained an Italian diploma and have attended the entire penultimate year of secondary school abroad, in order to register for the admission test you must declare in the Enrolment Portal the average converted according to the Italian grade system and upload the report card issued to you by the Italian school.
If you are unable to retrieve the converted report card, but you have the average in tenths relating to the year spent abroad, you can upload an official document issued by the school certifying this information.
If, on the other hand, you only have a document indicating the school credits assigned, you must upload it and take into account that the average obtained is defined according to the following table:

If you do not have one of the documents indicated above, declare the average obtained in the third to last year and upload, in a single file, the relative report card and the transcript of the penultimate year carried out abroad.

PLEASE NOTE:

If you have only spent the 1st semester abroad , declare the average obtained in the second semester, expressed in tenths and upload the report card of the penultimate year showing the average obtained in the final examination in tenths.

If you have only completed the 2nd semester abroad , declare the converted average according to the Italian grade system and upload the report card with the marks of the final scrutiny issued by the Italian school.

If you are unable to find the report card with the converted final exam grades or a document showing the average or credits obtained at the end of the penultimate year, declare the average obtained at the end of the 1st semester spent in Italy and upload, in a single file, the transcript of the semester spent abroad and the report card of the first semester attended in Italy.

ATTENTION: under no circumstances will translations of foreign transcripts or self-certifications of conversion of grades be accepted.

If you are a graduate candidate or enrolled in schools with a foreign qualification , follow the procedures provided by the International Admissions Office
