How to enroll in the course
You can find information on admission here, which varies depending on your qualification (Italian or foreign).

Places for the programme are allocated on the basis of eligibility in the admission test, followed by the reservation of the place according to the chronological order of payment of the first instalment. The test takes place online in several sessions, subject to availability.
Here are the main steps to follow:
- Passport photo - format: jpg, jpeg; Maximum size: 10MB
- ID - ID card, passport, driver's license are accepted. Format: png, jpg, jpeg, tiff, pdf; Maximum size: 10MB
- Tax code - format: png, jpg, jpeg, tiff, pdf; Maximum size: 10MB
- Permit of stay - if required. Format: png, jpg, jpeg, tiff, pdf; Maximum size: 10MB
- Baptismal certificate or, if you do not have one, the replacement documentation that you will have information about later
If you have not yet registered on the portal, register or, if you already have your credentials, log in.
Choose the date of the test, upload the required documentation and pay the registration fee (€60).
A few days before the test, you will receive instructions and credentials to access the platform by e-mail.
The test is in Italian and has a maximum duration of 150 minutes, consisting of 80 questions divided into thematic areas:
- 40 questions on Language Competence and Logical Reasoning
- 20 questions on Literary, Historical-Social, and Geographical Culture
- 20 questions on Mathematical-Scientific Culture
If you are eligible, you can reserve your place by paying the first instalment of university fees (€1,470) via the Enrolment Portal.
The reservation takes place in chronological order until places are exhausted and can take place until 15 December 2025.
In the event of an internal transfer, transfer, second degree or resumption of career, you must also pay the secretarial fees and upload the signed application form.
The place is reserved only after the validation of the documentation.
After graduating, complete enrolment within the deadlines.
At this stage, you will be asked for your baptismal certificate. If you do not have one, you can submit replacement documentation by choosing from these possibilities:
If you have been baptized but cannot find the original certificate, you can fill out a self-certification.
If you have not been baptized, you can make an appointment for an interview with the pastoral assistant on campus. After the interview, you will receive a valid certificate as replacement documentation. In case you have already made an appointment but are still waiting for the interview, you can temporarily submit a self-certification attesting to this situation.
Verification of Initial Preparation (VPI)
The Verification of Initial Preparation (VPI) is a compulsory test, included in the Admission Test, which serves to assess your starting level and support you in starting your university career.
Candidates who obtain at least 16/30 in the Admission Test pass the VPI.
Those who obtain a score of less than 16/30 receive an OFA (Additional Educational Obligation) in Knowledge of the Italian language and reading comprehension.
The OFA provides:
- a compulsory course with required attendance,
- a final skills test.
The course and the test must be completed and passed within the first year.
Any OFA assignment is communicated after enrolment on the personal iCatt page.
Compile income
Finally, don't forget to enter your income data by the end of November, using the "Compila redditi" application, accessible from your personal iCatt page.
OTHER INFORMATION
Candidates with disabilities and/or SLD are entitled to compensatory tools and/or dispensatory measures.

Candidates transferring from another university, changing course within Università Cattolica, taking a second degree or resuming their university career and are exempt from the admission test, after passing one of the 2 examinations indicated in the admission guides, are automatically recognised as having passed the initial preparation test and, as a result, no OFAs are assigned.
Academic year 2025-26
The admission test for the academic year 2025/26 will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11 a.m.
Registration for the test is open from 23 July at 3 pm until 04 September 2025 at 11.59 pm
The admission procedures will be updated as soon as the relevant ministerial decrees are issued.

The entrance exams provided for in the admission notice are organized by the University, taking into account the specific needs of candidates with report of civil invalidity and report of assessment of disability in accordance with laws n. 102/2009 and n. 104/1992, and/or certification of Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) in accordance with law n. 170/2010, prepared according to the LINEE GUIDA CNUDD 2024, paragraph 8.2 "Diagnosi e certificazione".
Candidates requiring aids or additional time must request them through the online registration procedure on the Enrollment Portal (sections for Candidates with Disabilities and/or with SLD), attaching the relevant certification.
Candidates with disabilities and/or with SLD are entitled to compensatory tools and/or exemptions, and must explicitly request them when registering for the exam:
- Additional time (up to 30% for candidates with SLD certification and up to 50% for candidates with disabilities);
- A non-scientific calculator (only for candidates with SLD if specifically indicated in the diagnostic certificate);
- An "accessible desk" (if the test is in person, only for candidates with motor disabilities);
- The assignment of a "reader" (person designated by the Evaluation Commission, only for candidates with visual disabilities and for candidates with SLD only in cases of severe reading-specific disorders); • The assignment of a "scribe" (person designated by the Evaluation Commission, only for candidates with disabilities);
- Enlargement of the test text (if the test is in person) or use of the zoom function in the browser (if the test is online);
- Audio tracks for comprehension passages (if the test is online and if the test permits).
Additional requests can be made in the editable free field in the appropriate section of the online registration procedure.
The following tools are not permitted under any circumstances: dictionary and/or vocabulary, formula sheet, periodic table of elements, concept map, personal computer (except for online tests), tablet, smartphone, and similar devices.
The provision of compensatory measures will not be guaranteed if the documentation is expired, not compliant with current regulations, not submitted according to the provided guidelines, or beyond the deadlines stated in the admission procedure.

Candidates with disabilities, disabilities, or SLD from EU and non-EU countries residing abroad who wish to take advantage of the above measures must submit the certification confirming the state of disability, disability, or SLD issued by the country of residence, accompanied by a sworn or certified translation by the Italian diplomatic representations, consistent with the original text, in Italian or English. The Commission responsible for reviewing the above certifications will assess whether the documentation issued abroad certifies a condition of disability, disability, or SLD.
FOR ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN THE 1ST YEAR OF THE PROGRAMME
The Verification of Initial Preparation (VPI) consists of a compulsory test for all students enrolled in the 1st year of a three-year or integrated degree programme, in order to be able to ascertain the basic knowledge to successfully attend the chosen degree course.
