What is the internship

The internship is an important opportunity to apply the skills acquired, get to know the professional context, grow on a personal level and guide one's future choices. Mandatory for all students, it can be replaced by work experience consistent with the course of study or by participation in Workshops, training activities organized by companies and professionals.

The degree course in Media Languages includes a compulsory internship of 4 credits that can be acquired in the following ways:

  • WORKSHOP
  • CURRICULAR INTERNSHIP WITH ECTS
  • RECOGNITION OF PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Training activities organised by companies within the University.

  • Students who undertake the Workshop Course are required to participate in a variable number of training activities, which allow the collection of 12 "workshop points".
  • Once the 12 "workshop points" have been reached, it is necessary to proceed with the drafting of the final paper. Before starting the drafting of the final paper, it is necessary to contact the Tutor to propose the topic and the setting of the empirical research part, specifying the type: interview and/or questionnaire.
  • The final paper must be uploaded 20 days before the date of the roll call on which you wish to register the ECTS.
  • UNIVERSITY TUTOR of reference for the workshop course: DEBORAH PAOLA GAUDIO
  •  CFU recognition:
    • The student must ensure that all reports and the final paper have been positively evaluated by consulting the appropriate sections on the Blackboard page
    • The student must register at the first available session. The dates of the "INTERNSHIP" sessions are available on Prof. Alice Cati's lecturer page.

You can choose:

  • Internships offered by companies, which can be consulted both on the Blackboard platform in the "Internship" course and on the web page https://step.unicatt.it/ under the heading "Ad search".
  • Internships proposed by the student, based on personal contacts with companies and subject to the approval of the university tutor.

In any case, the internship must have a minimum duration of 150 hours at a single company/institution.

How to activate: follow the procedure at the following link

It is possible to request the recognition of professional activities, by presenting a regular contract, in recognized areas congruent with the curriculum of studies, carried out or in progress by the student during the three-year degree period, to be verified with the tutor
