Admission procedures
The School is accessed, after a competition based on exams and qualifications, with the title of specialist or master's degree in art history (class 95/S or LM-89). In addition, graduates in possession of qualifications from the previous system equivalent to those of the new system indicated as a requirement for access can access the School: graduates of the Faculties of Arts and Philosophy, Education Sciences, Architecture, Cultural Heritage, History. Those who are in possession of a qualification obtained at a foreign university, equivalent to the master's degree required for access to the School, are also admitted.
The competition for admission to the School consists of:
. a written test on three topics concerning the history of medieval, modern and contemporary art aimed at ascertaining the candidate's art-historical culture; The three topics must be completed within 4 hours of the dictation of the titles themselves
. an oral exam to discuss the written topics.
Participation in the test is conditional, under penalty of exclusion of the candidate:
1) to enrol online via the appropriate Course Enrolment Portal by 12:00 noon on 4 November 2024: https://iscrizioni.unicatt.it/iscrizioni/
2) The degree qualification for admission to the Specialisation School must be obtained by the date of the admission tests. Graduating students can still create the application form, but it is necessary that, before the date of the admission tests, they enter the achievement of the degree on the portal. Otherwise, they will not be admitted to the tests;
3) the payment of the fee for registration for the selection tests set at € 60.00 (sixty/00), non-refundable. Payment via the PagoPa system is required. They are not
Alternative forms of payment are envisaged.
Through the Portal, candidates must declare all the required data:
▪ personal data;
▪ Academic qualifications held
The candidate must also upload the following documents to the portal:
a) passport-size photograph in the format indicated on the portal;
b) a copy of a valid identity document;
c) copy of a document certifying the tax code assigned to them (e.g.: health card);
d) copy of the degree thesis, if related to the subjects of specialization;
e) any publications, if related to the subjects of specialization
The competition for admission to the School consists of a written test on 3 topics respectively of medieval, modern and contemporary art history, aimed at ascertaining the candidate's historical-artistic culture. An oral exam will follow.
The admission test will take place on Monday 18 November (written test) and Tuesday 19 November (oral test) 2024 at 9.30 a.m. in a classroom of Università Cattolica that will be communicated on https://offertaformativa.unicatt.it/sds-scuole-di-specializzazione-beni-storico-artistici.
The oral interview will take place after the correction of the written test.
No more than 30% of the total score available to the Commission will be evaluated for the following qualifications:
. Marks obtained in the exams of the degree course in the subjects related to the specialization
. Graduation grade
. Dissertations in disciplines related to specialization
. Publications on the above subjects
The score of the above-mentioned qualifications is that established by the Ministerial Decree of 16 September 1982, issued pursuant to art. 13, paragraph 5 D.P.R. 162/82 published in the Official Gazette no. 275 of 6/10/1982.
Enrolment in the School of Specialisation is subject to placement in a useful position in the final ranking relating to the above-mentioned competition. In the event of withdrawal of one or more admitted candidates, they will be replaced according to the ranking order.
