Skills

The programme trains a professional figure characterised by:

  • high theoretical and practical skills in the field of educational sciences, particularly in the socio-educational field of minors;
  • extensive knowledge of children and young people, in-depth knowledge of children's needs and psychological development;
  • advanced knowledge of the processes of social change (crisis, immigration, new family fragilities, etc.) and of recent national and regional legislation; knowledge of the evolution of family and childhood history and educational processes;
  • critical ability to evaluate family, social and individual contexts and to prepare strategies for educational intervention;
  • knowledge of the most current research trends on the issues of the integrated training system, the coordination of socio-educational services, the methodology of educational planning;
  • mastery of methodologies for education, training, prevention and protection of minors in difficult situations (hardship, school dropout, neglect, hospitalization, risk of exclusion);
  • specialised skills in the running and management of playrooms, kindergartens, places of aggregation and youth training;
  • ability to mediate conflicts and to operate in a network logic among socio-educational services for minors;
  • specialised skills for the pedagogical design and the coordination of socio-educational services for minors, also in a teamwork logic, with tasks of planning and supervising activities;
  • ability to use the English language in written and oral form;
  • good knowledge of the main IT tools and telematic communication, with particular reference to the field of educational research.
