Two different Double Degree programmes

The MSc in Agricultural and Food Economics offers students the opportunity to take part in two Double Degree (DD) programmes with leading international universities. Students admitted to a Double Degree spend their second year at the partner institution. Upon completion, and thanks to the mutual recognition of credits and a jointly supervised thesis, they receive two academic degrees, one from each university.

Admission is based on academic merit and English proficiency.

AFEPA Consortium

The AFEPA – Agricultural, Food and Environmental Policy Analysis programme is offered by a consortium of four European universities:

  • University of Bonn (Germany)
  • Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala (Sweden)
  • Université Catholique de Louvain, Louvain‑la‑Neuve (Belgium)
  • Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Cremona (Italy)

AFEPA is part of the Erasmus Mundus framework, which allows selected students to apply for EU‑funded scholarships. While admission to the full programme is managed through a centralised procedure, regular M.Sc. students from each partner university can join AFEPA during their second year, subject to availability. Each year, a limited number of places is allocated to each partner institution.

Double Degree with Wageningen University

Wageningen University (WUR) in the Netherlands is widely recognised as one of the world’s leading institutions in agriculture and food. Through a bilateral agreement, selected students of Università Cattolica may undertake their second year at WUR as part of a dedicated Double Degree pathway. A limited number of positions is available each academic year.
