The Data Science for Management Master is an international first-level program designed to provide students with comprehensive training in computational and modern statistical methods for business, approached from a problem-solving perspective. The overarching goal is to equip students with the expertise required to become Data Scientists and Business Analytics Specialists, with a strong emphasis on modern AI tools. These skills are already in high demand – and are expected to remain so – across a wide range of economic sectors.

This Master program is supported by a dedicated faculty from the School of Economics and enriched by a broad network of companies and institutions. The partners actively contribute through teaching, case studies, mentoring, and internship opportunities.

Learning Outcomes

Students will develop a solid foundation in statistical, computational and business skills, essential for tackling real-world business challenges. The Master's curriculum is centered around eight core courses combining lectures, hands-on labs, and seminars. Topics include:

  • Database systems and programming
  • Statistics
  • Text and web mining
  • Data analytics
  • Machine learning and deep learning techniques

Special attention is given to tools that drive generative AI applications. Students will gain proficiency in industry-standard software such as Python, as well as R and SAS, equipping them to solve real business problems with confidence.

Learning by-doing

After the second term, students have access to a wide range of internship opportunities, typically with one of the program’s partner companies. Internships last between four and six months and offer a unique chance to apply technical skills, strengthen teamwork, and gain practical experience. Many internships lead to job offers, and all provide valuable leverage in the job market.
