Data Science for Management

The Data Science for Management Master is an international first-level program designed to provide students with comprehensive training in computational and statistical methods for management from a problem-solving perspective. The overarching objective is to equip students with the skills needed to excel in two highly sought-after roles: Data Analyst and Business Analytics Manager, which are in high demand across various economic sectors.

This Master program is supported by the expertise of faculty members. Furthermore, it leverages a wide network of companies and institutions that actively contribute to the program through teaching, case studies, mentoring, and internship opportunities.

Students will gain robust statistical, computational and business skills essential for addressing real-world business challenges. The Master's curriculum is built around eight core courses, comprising lectures, labs, and seminars. These courses span diverse fields including database systems and programming, statistics, text and web mining, data analytics, and machine learning. By exploring a range of industry-standard tools such as R, SAS, and Python, students will develop proficiency in addressing real business issues. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to obtain the "Machine Learning with SAS Viya" certification.

Following the second term, students are presented with a variety of internship opportunities, typically with a partner company. Usually the internship lasts four to six months, and provides a unique opportunity to enhance student’s learning, technical skills, as well as team working. If successfully completed, the internship may lead to a job offer; it also represents a valuable experience when searching for a job.
