The composition is dominated by the elementary figure of the triangle, yet its regularity is disrupted by a network of marks that converge upon and radiate from the centre. Geometry thus appears at once constructed and unsettled. The title, Sensitive Revolution, encapsulates this tension: geometric order is subjected to the effects of colour, gesture, and matter. In this way, Cass directs the rigorous geometric exploration rooted in the Brazilian abstract-concrete and neo-concrete traditions towards a dimension in which rationality and intuition, formal construction and sensory experience, are no longer opposing terms.
