The programme at a glance

The undergraduate programme in Philosophy aims to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of the foundations of philosophical thought, spanning the ancient, medieval, modern, and contemporary eras. The course of study is divided into four main areas:

  • HISTORICAL-PHILOSOPHICAL
  • Theoretical-metaphysical
  • Ethical-anthropological
  • Logical-epistemological

Students will be able to choose between two profiles:

Starting from the academic year 25/26, in fact, the new profile was introduced with the aim of training figures capable of facing the challenges posed by the recent development of generative artificial intelligence and the growing social diffusion of artificial agents capable of autonomously carrying out tasks traditionally entrusted to human beings.

Teaching methodology

The predominantly theoretical nature of the courses is combined with the initiatives organized by the Faculty: seminars, meetings with philosophers and professors of international prestige, research and in-depth work.

Traditional outlets and new opportunities

In addition to the path to obtaining the qualification for teaching and research activities, graduates in Philosophy can make a valuable contribution in various sectors: publishing and other areas of the cultural industry; communication and public relations services; human resources management and personnel management.
