Nursing and Midwifery Sciences

For the academic year 2026/2027, a public competition is announced for admission to the graduate degree programmes in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences - Nursing Profile (class LM/SNT-1 A) offered by the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery "A. Gemelli" at the Rome Campus and at the affiliated teaching site of the Cottolengo Hospital "Piccola Casa della Divina Provvidenza" in Turin.

The available places are as follows:

• 50 places for the programme offered at the Rome Campus (programme code 23HR);
• 20 places for the programme offered at the affiliated teaching site in agreement in Turin – Cottolengo Hospital (programme code 23HT).

Applicants may submit an application for one graduate degree programme only.

The selection procedure is open to EU citizens and equivalent applicants, as referred to in Art. 39, paragraph 5 of Legislative Decree no. 286/1998, who hold a qualifying Bacherlor's Degree (or an equivalent professional qualification) in one of the following healthcare professions:

- Nurse, in accordance with the Ministerial Decree of the Ministry of Health no. 739 of 14 September 1994 and subsequently amended and supplemented;

- Paediatric Nurse, in accordance with the Ministerial Decree of the Ministry of Health no. 70 of 17 January 1997 and subsequently amended and supplemented;

Applicants who will obtain the required qualification by 31 December 2026 may also partecipate in the selection procedure on a conditional basis (sub condicione), in accordance with the provisions set out in Art. 10 of the call for applications.

To register for the admission examination, from 6 July 2026 and until 11:59 p.m. on 21 September 2026, applicants must:

• Complete the registration procedure for the selection process referred to in Art. 3 of the call for applications (if you are a new user, you must create a personal account);
• Upload the following documements to the online system:
  • The special Form for the Evaluation of Qualifications, available this page, which must be completed carefully in in all sections, signed and submitted together with a valid identity document;
  • A certification (or self-certification pursuant to Article 46 of Presidential Decree 445/2000) proving possession of the qualification required for admission to the graduate degree programme in class LM/SNT-1 A. If the admission qualification will be obtained by 31 December 2026, applicants must upload the examination record/ certification of completed exams (or the relevant self-certification), including the legal duration of the degree programme in class L/SNT-1 in which they are enrolled during the current academic year 2025/26;  
  • The requirement is necessary in order to procede with registration for the admission test. Applicants should therefore ensure that they have all the required certifications available before starting the registration procedure;
  • Upload any additional qualifications eligible for scoring, in accordance with and within the limits established by art. 6.1 of the call for applications;
  • Pay the participation fee of € 130.00 which completes the registration process (the payment slip can be downloaded at the end of the procedure).

The participation fee is non-refundable funder any circumstances.

The admission test consists of a written test and the assessment of academic and professional qualifications, provided that they are duly certified.

The written test will take place in person on 30 September 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the following locations:

• For the graduate degree programme offered in Rome, at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery "A. Gemelli" of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Largo F. Vito n.1;

• For the master's degree course offered at the Turin teaching site, at the Cottolengo Hospital "Piccola Casa della Divina Provvidenza" in Via Cottolengo, 13 10151.

The list of admitted applicants, including the room assigned for the test, will be published on this page from 25 September 2026.

Please carefully check Art. 6 of the call for applications for the qualifications eligible for scoring and, within the deadlines and according to the procedure indicated, upload the relevant documentation together with all required certificates.

No points will be awarded for qualifications that are not properly certified or that are submitted after the indicated deadlines.

Once the participation fee has been paid, applicants will be able to access the written test simulator.
