Speech and Language Therapy

The set of knowledge that will be acquired by the graduate, equal to 180 university credits, will constitute the cultural, scientific and relational baggage necessary to acquire full professional competence.

1st year
Aimed at providing the scientific basis for the understanding of biological and hereditary phenomena, the main mechanisms of functioning of organs and systems, the linguistic, psychological, social and environmental dimensions of communication and knowledge of professional fields. Internship experiences are planned aimed at observing the physiological aspects of communication in the different age groups.

2nd year
Aimed at the in-depth acquisition of knowledge aimed at dealing with language disorders in developmental, learning and auditory age. The internship activities are aimed at the elaboration of the evaluation and the speech therapy balance and the planning of the rehabilitation intervention of the pathologies studied in the second year.

3rd year
Aimed at the in-depth acquisition of knowledge on aphasias, cognitive-linguistic disorders, dysphonias and dysphagia and the development of interaction and collaboration skills with multi-professional teams. The internship activities are aimed at the elaboration of the evaluation and the speech therapy balance and the planning of the rehabilitation intervention of all the pathologies provided for in the nosological catalog with the gradual assumption of autonomy and supervised responsibility.
