The aim of the course is twofold: to build a strong foundation in English and American culture and literature, given their worldwide diffusion in contemporary society; to furnish important basic tools in highly specific areas like writing for cinema and television, the industry of publishing, the history and production of animation, literature and TV series for kids.

The area of literature is meant to give the basis of narrative structures and the main literary genres, from Shakespeare to contemporary English and American authors. The areas of publishing and audiovisual are meant to give a clear knowledge of how these industries work.
