As part of the optional training activities, which students must indicate when submitting their study plan, the Faculty has identified combinations of courses that allow the acquisition of university credits in relation to the following skill profiles:

  • Economics and management of entertainment companies and events
  • Economics and management of museums and exhibition
  • Methods and topics in art management (MaTaM)

For further details on Methods and topics in art management (MaTaM) clic here.

In relation to the training course, the achievement of the objectives is achieved through the performance of training activities articulated in specific macro-areas of knowledge that also include integrated teaching between the economic-business teaching component and the more humanistic one: specifically, the courses given by the professors of the Faculty of Economics are flanked by some integrated courses between the professors of the same Faculty of Economics and those of the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy. The presence of professors from different backgrounds, many of whom come directly from the professional world of cultural companies and entertainment, represents one of the most qualifying points of the graduate degree course.
The theoretical and applied training - of an exquisitely managerial nature - is carried out within a broader theoretical framework that also includes many aspects of cultural and philosophical derivation, always according to a concrete approach oriented towards solving real, relevant and current problems typical of the sector.
Furthermore, as part of the Master's Degree in Economics and Management of Cultural Heritage and Entertainment, after a common path, it is possible for the student to further deepen one of the following specific areas of knowledge (and professional use):

  • the area of knowledge and skills related to the management of museums and exhibition spaces;
  • the area of knowledge and skills related to the management of entertainment companies and events.

The proposed didactic path is carried out through frontal lessons integrated with tutoring activities. To this end, extensive use is made of interactive teaching methods: exercises, workshops, seminars, discussion of cases, analysis of current issues, meetings with entrepreneurs, managers and consultants in the sector (including foreigners); supplementary courses, simulations, company checkups and other forms of teaching aimed at developing the student's skills of analysis and personal critical synthesis.
The courses conclude with an assessment test. This may also apply to other supplementary forms of teaching for which eligibility may also be required.
The didactic path includes the constant use of online platforms where the student can find supplementary teaching material and all further references and contacts for in-depth study of the content of the courses and for the preparation of exams.

The organization in curricula distinguishes different specialization paths, with a particular focus on museums and exhibition spaces, companies and entertainment events, while maintaining in common the acquisition of skills related to business management and sector legislation. Each curriculum provides for the achievement of the general objectives set out above through a more precise and precise analysis of markets and companies that differ significantly from each other in the broader sector of cultural heritage and activities.
In addition, an English-language profile 'Methods and Topics in Arts Management' (MaTAM) has been activated with the aim of providing students with a strongly international preparation on the subject of visual and performing arts management.

The duration of the graduate degree is two years after the three-year first-level course of study.
To obtain the Graduate Degree, students must acquire at least 120 university credits (ECTS).
Each exam is awarded a certain number of credits, the same for all students, and a grade (expressed in thirtieths) that varies according to the level of preparation.
