Networks and collaborations

The University participates in various institutional networks that deal with sustainability or that include it in its field of action. Joining the networks is a particularly important element that allows you to participate in the evolution of the debate and to contribute to the actions of institutions and stakeholders.

The RUS - Network of Universities for Sustainable Development is the first experience of coordination and sharing between all Italian universities committed to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore has been a member since its foundation.

ASviS - Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development was founded in 2016 to raise awareness of the importance of the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development and to mobilize Italian society, economic and social actors and institutions in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. The University joins the Alliance through its participation in the RUS.

The SACRU  (Strategic Alliance of Catholic Research Universities) network is an alliance created in 2020 between Università Cattolica and seven other Catholic universities in Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America and Latin America. It also works on sustainability issues, in particular through Working Group 2 'Catholic Identity and Laudato Si'.

The LSAP (Laudato Si' Action Platform) is a path promoted and launched by the Holy See in 2020, on a global scale, on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Encyclical "Laudato Si'" involving over one hundred universities from all over the world. The University participates in it, having also contributed to the ELSiA network project on the implementation of "Laudato Si'" in Europe.
