STEAMiamoci, launched by Assolombarda in 2016 with the aim of establishing a synergistic network of companies, universities, bodies and associations, both national and international, engaged in projects to enhance female talent, particularly in the scientific and technological professions.

The aim of the STEAMiamoci project is to reduce the gender gap , support the importance of women in the cultural and productive fabric, and find measures to increase their incidence and value. The acronym STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is completed with the "A" for "Arts", to include every aspect of knowledge and expressiveness.

The aforementioned project intends to involve civil, political and entrepreneurial actors in activities that trigger a cultural change on women's professions and in particular:

• monitor the situation and find insights to guide policies at the institutions;
• to provide information to companies to guide cultural innovation projects;
• designing actions and policies starting from data;
• propose tools for communication and media dissemination activities;
• organize targeted orientation days, in association, company and institutional offices, in schools;
• to promote visibility and sharing of current best practices ;
• increase the activities and collaboration between schools - businesses and institutions on the subject;
•  identify STEAM Managers capable of informing and directing study choices towards STEM paths.

To date, in addition to the entire Confindustria network, more than 230 partners including companies (national and international), public bodies, and university institutions are part of STEAMiamoci.
