Abstract
Video games are not only an entertainment product, but also one of the most relevant sectors of global entertainment, which has long been worth more than cinema and music combined. During the lesson, the video game market will be analyzed following two different focuses. The first is that of global and local market numbers and trends (turnover, genres, platforms, ...). The second is that of job opportunities in the sector. The goal is to provide concrete tools to orient oneself in the videogame medium and understand how to work within it (as an independent developer or within a structured team).
