/ Overview

The three-year degree programme in Scienze motorie e dello sport (Sport and Exercise Sciences) at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore offers training that integrates sport, education and health, with a vision of movement understood as a tool for promoting the well-being and development of the person at all stages of life.

The programme stems from an inter-faculty approach that combines Education, Sciences and Medicine and Surgery, integrating pedagogical, psychological and biomedical skills. This approach makes it possible to train professionals capable of combining technical preparation and educational ability through movement.

A significant part of the training is dedicated to practical and laboratory activities, with experiences also carried out at the Fenaroli Sports Centre, in constant integration with theoretical activities.

Sport is interpreted not only as a performance, but as an educational and inclusive tool, aimed at promoting participation, personal growth and social cohesion, even in the presence of specific educational needs and situations of disability.

The study plan also develops skills for the adaptation of motor activity to individual characteristics, through the modulation of exercises, rules and contexts of practice, with the aim of ensuring accessibility and effectiveness of the intervention.

After a common first year, the three-year programme is divided into two paths: a Sports-managerial one, oriented towards the management and organization of sports activities, and a Scholastic-adaptive one, more focused on physical education in educational contexts. The choice is not definitively binding and allows flexibility in the continuation of studies and career.

Overall, the programme trains professionals capable of using movement as a tool for the overall growth of the person, integrating motor, relational and educational skills.
