The Good Morning group. A prospect of working in places of care
Mimesis Editions, 2024
Since 1996, the Good Morning Group has been the first meeting of the day at the Samadi Psychiatric Residential Facility.
Over the years it has taken on a specific form that characterizes it: those who take the floor are neither commented on, nor judged, nor interrupted, but express their thoughts and make them available to others. This means that people who do not know each other, even in situations of acute suffering, can confront each other on issues related to the difficulties they experience, experimenting with a new way of being in relationship.
Hence the stimulus and interest in various exponents of some therapeutic approaches, whose contribution within this work has fostered a richer understanding of the complex dynamics of the Group, providing an important contribution to clinical practice, as well as a clearer vision of its efficacy.
