Prism

Promoting and fostering the dissemination of psychological, emotional and relational well-being in the academic community with particular attention to the student component is the goal of the Prisma Project promoted by eight Italian universities, including Università Cattolica. Within the network of the project, funded by the ProBen Call and led by the University of Ferrara, Università Cattolica will activate a qualitative-quantitative survey of the well-being and lifestyles of students. The survey is aimed at identifying the well-being and malaise of the university population, lifestyles, possible forms of addiction, analyzing the living conditions of students and their personal and internal relational context of the university.

In addition to the questionnaire that will involve students from all Faculties and all campuses of the University, the Prisma team of Università Cattolica, coordinated by the director of the Department of Psychology Antonella Marchetti, and composed of psychologists Alessandro Antonietti (Dean of the Faculty of Psychology), Emanuela Confalonieri, Elena Marta and Francesco Pagnini, will promote individual and group activities for psychological support and addiction prevention.

Among the proposals under consideration is a competition in which groups of students, encouraging collaboration between Faculties, will be able to propose an information campaign on the topic, informing their peers about the proposed activities and stimulating their active involvement.

In addition, through online meetings and face-to-face working groups, other initiatives aim to promote psychological and social well-being, the management of anxiety, stress and negative emotions (e.g. through relaxation techniques, mindfulness, promotion of mentalization, community empowerment).
