The information provided is subject to finalisation pending approval by the Italian Ministry for Universities and Research (MUR).

Overview

The new graduate degree in Healthcare Management (HEMA) provides specialised training designed to develop skills in administrative, managerial, financial, and organisational responsibilities within healthcare institutions and businesses. Its aim is to prepare professionals who are capable of aspiring to senior roles in both private and public sector organisations operating within the healthcare markets. The course exploits the unique ecosystem fostered by the collaboration between the Faculties of Economics and Medicine and Surgery and by the A. Gemelli University Hospital, which serves as a lab for the managerial culture that the programme aims to instil in its students.

Additionally, the international focus provides students with personal and social enrichment, as well as the chance to enter the global and multinational job market. In fact, HEMA is delivered in collaboration with a visiting professor who works alongside the resident faculty, facilitating dialogue with various overseas universities.

The coursework includes lectures, discussions, and case studies that introduce students to a broad range of practical management issues in healthcare organisations. Additionally, students have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad or complete their thesis in a foreign country.
