Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore celebrates the National Day of Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles  , which takes place on 16 February, and adheres to the "M'illumino di meno" initiative, promoted by RaiRadio2 and the Caterpillar radio show.

The University also participates in the initiative by accepting the invitation of the RUS - University Network for Sustainable Development, confirming its constant commitment to promoting virtuous behaviour in terms of environmental, economic and social sustainability.

At the Milan Campus , the lighting will be switched off, starting at dusk and until 8 a.m. the following morning, in the common areas of the Monumental Building (ambulatory halls, cloisters, stairs and restoration site), the internal courtyards of the Gemelli Campus, the Office Building and the entire entrance hall/entrance hall from Largo Gemelli, 1.  In addition, there will be a total switch-off, until the next day, of the lighting fixtures of the Courtyard of Honor. The internal buildings in the Gemelli Campus (Ambrosianum – Dominicanum – Franciscanum – Gregorianum - via Lanzone 14-18-20) will be illuminated only in the minimum night mode starting at 10 pm.

Modulation and switching off of the lighting systems will be carried out in compliance with safety regulations.

On the Brescia Campus, where a sustainable lighting system is in place, all lights will be turned off every day when the buildings close, in compliance with safety standards.
