Family Enrichment Paths - 2025 editions

Being parents is an experience that can also enrich one's professional reality (and vice versa): we believe in an integrated model of the person where family and professional identity are in dialogue and do not oppose each other in a dichotomous and conflictual perspective. Dealing with parenting in one's own work environment is therefore not an anomaly or a distraction from professional commitment, but a form of enhancement and enhancement of an important part of people's identity.

Aware of this, the University, among the actions envisaged in the Strategic Plan under the Equal Opportunities Table, proposes Family Enrichment Paths with limited places aimed at teaching staff, technical-administrative staff, research fellows and PhD students of Università Cattolica with children aged between 0 and 18 years.

After the first year of experimentation at the Milan campus with very positive feedback, the Paths have also arrived at the Piacenza-Cremona and Brescia campuses, where they ended in May 2025 and will soon also start at the Rome headquarters with the presentation event on 24 June 2025 from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.

The Paths will be divided into four meetings each lasting 3 hours from September to November 2025. The working method includes experiential and theoretical activities in small groups, conducted by two trainers who are experts in relational and family issues.

PEFs are a mode of preventive and promotional intervention in small groups that intends not only to respond to the needs of parents, but also to help them identify the resources (at an individual, relational, family and social level) to draw on, reclaiming the importance of their parental role on the one hand and on the other by refining tools and skills to exercise their parenting with greater incisiveness and awareness.

The activation of the small group will allow participants to confront each other and will help them to reread their experience in a different perspective.
