Who we are
The Unipol Group is the leader in Italy in the P&C business, in particular in Motor Liability insurance, and is one of the leading insurance companies in Europe. The shares of its parent company Unipol Assicurazioni S.p.A. have been listed on the Italian Stock Exchange since 1990 and are present on the FTSE MIB® and MIB® ESG.
Its main shareholders are some companies that are part of the Italian cooperative movement. The Group has over 12,000 employees and serves 16.8 million customers, thanks to the largest agency network in Italy.
At the consolidated level, as at 31 December 2024 the Group recorded direct insurance income of €15.6 billion, of which €9.2 billion in P&C and €6.4 billion in Life business.
In the insurance services sector, the Group operates mainly through the parent company Unipol Assicurazioni S.p.A., leader in Italy in Non-Life Insurance, in particular in Motor Liability Insurance.
It is also active in direct car insurance through Linear Assicurazioni and Siat, the only Italian company dedicated entirely to transport and aviation insurance.
