The meeting takes place on the occasion of the International Mathematics Day, Pi Greco Day, dedicated to encouraging young people towards the study of mathematics and is aimed at high school students. To stimulate interest in this discipline, it is certainly useful to make it clear that mathematics is not an arid and notional subject, but how it leaves ample room for fantasy and imagination. Mathematics = numbers: of course there is some truth, but how many numbers are there? Infinite... Here, in this meeting we will see how mathematics confronts and deals with infinity (better the infinites, there is not just one, as we will see) and the paradoxes that this idea brings with it. And this is indeed an intriguing avenue to show the true face of mathematics.
