/ Overview

The integrated degree programme in Giurisprudenza (percorso Diritto e Economia) - Law (Law and Economics track) - is designed to train professionals with a solid legal preparation integrated with economic and managerial skills.

The aim is to build profiles capable not only of accessing the traditional legal professions (lawyers, magistrates and notaries), but also of operating in organisational and business contexts with managerial and strategic functions.

The training course combines courses in the legal and economic-business areas throughout the five-year period in a balanced way, allowing students to acquire a complete interdisciplinary preparation.

At the end of the five years, in addition to obtaining an integrate degree in Giurisprudenza, the programme allows students to meet the requirements for direct access to the last year of some of the Faculty's graduate programmes, particularly in the fields of economics and management.

Thanks to the "5+1" structure, students can continue for a further year and obtain a second Master's Degree in Business Management (with courses in Management or Consulting and Governance) or in Banking and Consulting, significantly expanding professional opportunities.

The programme is also distinguished by the personalized attention to the student, favored by the direct relationship with the professors, and by a strong openness to innovation and internationalization.

Through projects, application experiences and collaborations with professional associations, companies, public administrations and foreign universities, the course facilitates an informed and qualified entry into the world of work.

/ Internships and careers

Internships and career opportunities

The Faculty offers several internship and apprenticeship opportunities, allowing students to apply the skills acquired in concrete work contexts.

Internships and professional training

The curricular internship with ECTS is provided for by the educational system of the degree programme in Giurisprudenza (percorso Diritto e Economia) and is an integral part of the training course.

This is a teaching activity carried out in companies, professional firms or institutions, aimed at achieving the educational objectives of the programme.
It does not constitute an employment relationship in any way and must be approved in advance by the Faculty Tutor before starting.

The internship allows the student to apply the skills acquired during the course of study in the field, strengthening the link between academic training and the professional world.

Of particular importance is the early internship for access to the legal professions: the Course has activated agreements with the Council of the Bar Association of Piacenza and with the District Notarial Council of Piacenza, as well as with the Bar Associations of Cremona and Lodi.

These agreements allow fifth-year students to advance up to 6 of the 18 months required for access to the legal and notary profession, provided that they pass the required exams and obtain the required ECTS in the disciplines indicated.

These agreements, including the first national implementation with the Notarial Council of Piacenza, strengthen the professionalising vocation of the course, favoring a progressive and concrete insertion into the world of work.

Experience represents a key step in the training course, oriented towards the development of practical and operational skills that can be immediately spent in professional contexts.

The Career Service supports students and graduates as they prepare to enter the job market, providing career guidance and resources to help them navigate different professional and organisational contexts. It supports the development of transversal skills, creates opportunities to meet employers and helps students develop an informed and coherent career path.

Every year, more than 20,000 students take part in events organised with over 100 partner companies, and more than 9,500 undertake an internship with support from the Career Service and internship tutors.
