/ Admission

The admission process

To enrol in the degree programme in Tecniche della prevenzione nell'ambiente e nei luoghi di lavoro, it is necessary to take an admission test and participate in a merit list.

The test consists of 60 multiple-choice questions: 20 of logic, 30 of scientific culture (chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics), 5 of general culture and 5 of ethical-religious culture.
At the end there are also 8 reserve questions, used only in case of any anomalies.
The test lasts a total of 60 minutes, plus an additional 8 minutes for reserve questions.

The exam takes place via a web testing platform with a remote control system, which requires a PC with webcam and microphone, stable connection and a dedicated smartphone or tablet for security procedures.
There is also a free online simulator accessible after payment of the fee, useful for practicing before the test.

Rankings and notices

From 18 May until 11:59 p.m. on 1 September 2026 , it is possible to register for the admission test by paying the participation fee ( €130.00). The payment - to be made by 1 September 2026 - constitutes the completion of the registration without which it is not possible to take the exam.

The admission tests are held remotely ( home-based mode) on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2026 at 2:30 pm.

When registering for the test, each candidate selects the session they wish to participate in, subject to availability of places.

When enrolling, it is possible to indicate up to 2 undergraduate degree programmes among those on offer of the Faculty of Medicine for the academic year 2026/27 (art. 1 of the call, table below) specifying the order of preference (first choice and, if applicable, second choice) with the exception of the courses active at the Claudiana teaching centre in Bolzano, for which it is necessary to consult the https://www.claudiana.bz.it/it website.

The chosen degree programmes and the order of preference can be changed by 1 September 2026 by using the "modify competition registration" function of your enrolment profile.

Preferences and the order of preference are binding in the preparation of the merit rankings, therefore a careful reading of art. 10 of the competition notice.

The final rankings of each degree programme will be drawn up taking into consideration as a matter of priority:

1) the choices and the order of preference expressed by each candidate (first and second choice);

2) the score obtained.

Therefore, each ranking will be composed first of all of the candidates who have indicated the degree course as "first choice" ordered on the basis of merit, and then of those who have indicated the course as "second choice" in turn ordered on the basis of merit.

The following criteria will be observed in the allocation of places:

  • if the candidate is admitted to the course indicated as the first choice (priority 1), the second choice, if expressed, is automatically cancelled (and eliminated from the corresponding ranking);
  • if the candidate is admitted to the programme-campus indicated as second choice (priority 2), the first choice remains valid and the candidate retains his or her place in the ranking list for possible scrolling (even if he/she enrols in the degree programme indicated as second choice);
  • if the candidate is NOT admitted to the first choice course nor, if expressed, to the second choice one, he or she is placed in the ranking list for both of which he or she may be asked to enrol by subsequent scrolling.

In any case , the order of preference is preserved

How the admission test takes place

The exam is delivered REMOTELY (via online web testing platform with remote control system).

It is essential to have:

  • A PC (Windows 8 operating system, or later, or LINUX) or MAC (MAC-OS 10.14 or later) equipped with a webcam and microphone;

The use of wifi is also recommended, during the procedure you will be asked to download an APP on your smartphone/tablet (34MB) from Google Play or AppStore (depending on whether you use a smartphone with Android or IoS operating system).

The tablet can ONLY be used as a replacement for the Smartphone, not the PC/Mac

The test consists of 60 multiple-choice questions (max 60 points) distributed as follows:

  • 20 logical reasoning questions;
  • 30 questions on scientific culture: 10 on chemistry, 10 on biology, 5 on physics and 5 on mathematics (with elements of logic);
  • 5 general culture questions;
  • 5 questions of ethical-religious culture.

At the end of the exam, each candidate must answer further 8 questions in 8 minutes (so-called "reserve questions"), one for each subject, automatically assigned by the platform.

  • The "reserve" questions do not contribute to the determination of the final score;
  • they will be used only in the event that an anomaly emerges in one or more questions of the test that leads to their cancellation, replacing only the one relating to the same subject.

The test lasts 60 minutes

Internships and vocational training

The professional internship represents a central element of the training course and allows you to develop technical, relational and organisational skills directly related to the profession of the Prevention Technician.
Through field experience, students consolidate professional reasoning, critical thinking and the ability to operate in the different areas of prevention.

The activities are carried out under the supervision of professional and educational tutors who accompany the student in the learning process, encouraging a progressive assumption of responsibility and a direct confrontation with real operational situations.

At the end of each year, the skills acquired are assessed through an internship exam that takes into account the entire course taken, the documents produced and a practical test based on case studies relating to hygiene and public health, food safety and safety in the workplace.
This process makes it possible to verify in a concrete way the development of the professional skills required by the profession.

The Career Service supports students and graduates as they prepare to enter the job market, providing career guidance and resources to help them navigate different professional and organisational contexts. It supports the development of transversal skills, creates opportunities to meet employers and helps students develop an informed and coherent career path.

Every year, more than 20,000 students take part in events organised with over 100 partner companies, and more than 9,500 undertake an internship with support from the Career Service and internship tutors.

  • Specialisation in safety and prevention: development of advanced skills on health protection in the workplace and control systems in different operational contexts

  • Technical-management training: consolidation of tools for the analysis, evaluation and management of prevention systems in complex organisations

  • Continuous professional updating: participation in training initiatives for the maintenance and evolution of skills in the sector

The continuation of studies represents an opportunity for professional growth and consolidation of skills, useful for accessing increasingly qualified roles in prevention, safety and health protection systems.
