The Physics and Innovation graduate degree is a two-year programme designed for physicists, chemists, materials science graduates, and engineers who wish to develop multidisciplinary and excellence skills useful for entering a technological innovation context, with a solid foundation in theoretical and quantum physics, as well as in condensed matter physics, photonics, and nanotechnologies.

The educational path will blend advanced knowledge of key physical phenomena with a profound utilization of multi-physics modelling, physical-mathematical tools, and numerical techniques based on major programming languages, as well as artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques. Within the programme, it will be possible to broaden the foundational education with courses that can enhance skills in the field of data science, biomedical physics, quantitative finance, innovation and technology management, and environment and sustainability. The academic journey, which includes numerous laboratories and practice sessions, unfolds within a university environment characterised by a strong connection to the research activities of the Faculty’s research centre and the local and international industrial ecosystem.

Physics and Innovation provides three specialised profiles designed to meet the diverse aptitudes and professional aspirations of students.
