Although the days of the "scramble for Africa" seem far away, the continent is increasingly at the center of the interests of a multiplicity of external actors, state and non-state. Yet, the rise and consolidation of various indigenous leaderships relaunch the ambitions of a geopolitical space that aims to play a leading role locally and internationally. Starting from the challenges that mark the continent, the meeting aims to discuss the potential of the region, the power dynamics that are changing its balance and its posture on the international level.
